When Daddy Says No!
Your a 12 year old girl and your daddy is going to be gone for two and a half years. You send off the visitation form only to receive a letter that says he wants no visitors. Your heart is crushed. You have all kinds of mixed emotions and not sure what to do. All you know is that you really want to see your daddy but he's telling you that he doesn't want to see you and you don't understand why. I personally have never been in this type of situation but I've heard a child's story who is going through this right now. I can't even begin to imagine what she is going through. The hurt she must feel. My only thought is that maybe her dad just doesn't want her to see him in a place like that. And I hope that that's the case because at an age such as that a young girl really needs her father to guide her. To teach her not to fall for every line a boy throws at her. Most importantly just to be there and love her because being a pre-teen is rough. I really hope that se gets to see him or at least gets some understanding as to why he's doing what he's doing because it's a tough world out there.

Never Alone
Even if you feel alone in this world there is always someone out there who is dealing what you are dealing with. I was a child who was forced to deal with having an incarcerated father and I never admitted it for anyone to know that that's what I was dealing with. I lied about where my father was or just avoided questions about him at all. as I got older I started to realize that there were more people out there who are dealing with this situation. My daughter included. I'm starting to open up more about because there will always be some child who needs the help. and that's what I'm here because I was them and my daughter is now me.
